I’m based in Mallorca, travelling to other Balearic islands is a quick hop for me.

Q. Are humanist ceremonies legal?
At this time of writing, humanist ceremonies are not legally recognised in England or Wales. They have been legally recognised in Scotland since 2005, and are by some margin the most chosen form of non-civil ceremony there. Legal humanist marriages have also been recognised in Northern Ireland and Jersey since 2018, and in Guernsey, Alderney and Sark since 2021.
* Note:
As of 2 October 2025, the UK Government has announced its intention to make humanist marriages in England and Wales legal.
A final Marriage Reform consultation is in progress right now, and concrete plans and timelines will be known as soon as it is concluded. Watch this space!
Until then, couples may purchase statutory legal registration from your local register office. I’d advise you to complete the legalities prior to your humanist wedding. Then we can celebrate your wedding ceremony with the red tape behind you.
Q. What are your fees & Are you available?
Fees begin from £1,750 for Mallorca weddings, and £2,250 for other Balearic Islands & Spain. £2,600 for European destinations outside of Spain / Balearics.
All my wedding packages include travel and accommodation expenses.

Q. Who & what can we include in the ceremony?
Involving friends and family in the ceremony, is wonderful, and brings so much joy and fun. From family doing readings to sing alongs. We can include any kind of music, live music, rituals, poems, crystals. You can decide on family members and friends who you’d like to involve in the ceremony. I / we create a ceremony completely personalised for you. We create you ultimate wedding - an experience that everyone remembers, a loves.
Q. Can you help with booking accommodation and the venue.
I can recommend wedding planners and Travel consultants who can help you with this. I don’t take on these roles personally.
Q. Can we write our own vows?
Yes, I highly encourage couples to write their own vows! Personal vows bring a heartfelt, unique touch to your ceremony, allowing you to express your love in your own words.
I’m here to support you in writing your vows, we can develop them together in a way that feels genuine, comfortable, and authentically reflecting you & your relationship.
Q. Is there anything that has to be included in the service?
No, with an Independent Celebrant, there’s nothing that has to be included. Your ceremony is entirely flexible and can be crafted to suit your preferences, whether you want traditional elements, personal rituals, or something unique.
I work closely with you to ensure every part of your ceremony reflects your story and values, creating a meaningful, memorable celebration.
Q. What's the difference between a celebrant and a registrar?
A Registrar conducts legally binding ceremonies with limited personalisation at licensed venues. An Independent Celebrant like me, however, creates fully personalised ceremonies anywhere — be it a beach, forest, or your garden.
Celebrant ceremonies aren’t legally binding in England, but many couples complete the legalities with a Registrar separately, allowing them to enjoy a unique, meaningful celebration crafted just for them.
Q. What's the difference between an independent celebrant and a humanist ceremony?
An Independent Celebrant offers fully personalised ceremonies, with the freedom to include religious, spiritual, or cultural elements if desired
In contrast, a Humanist Celebrant specialises in non-religious ceremonies only, focusing on secular values.
Both Celebrants provide unique, bespoke ceremonies, but an Independent Celebrant offers greater flexibility to tailor the ceremony to your specific beliefs and preferences
Q. If we want to get married outside are there any restrictions?
With a Celebrant-led wedding, there are no restrictions on where your ceremony can take place. Whether you dream of a beach, garden, or forest wedding, exchanging vows in a stunning historical venue, or saying "I do" on a boat of the coast of Mallorca.
The location is entirely up to you. There are restrictions for celebrations on beaches in the Balearics. Wedding Ceremonies in public spaces are limited to the Bride and Groom and a few guests. A discreet and intimate affair. Ceremonies held in Villa’s, vineyards and other wedding venues can be much larger affairs.
